Their are some who is better when it comes to giving an opening remarks – speech while on the other hand they are sometimes not that good when it comes to closing remarks.
Opening and closing remarks had become a traditional part programs in any events.
Opening Remarks from the term itself usually comes first after the doxology and singing of national anthem, and on the other hand, closing remarks goes last.
So why do we need to become good when in giving a closing or opening remarks? mainly because, as a speaker in front of everybody, we are expected to give an inspiration and thought that will motivate the audience and set their mood to become active and participate properly with the event where we are giving our remarks.
1. Usually – on this part, what you will conveying is the thought on why everybody was gathered on the event, and what will be the objective and purpose of such event. Opening remarks should also contain an inspirational words that will motivate the audience.
2. on the other hand, closing remarks is intended to summarize the thought of the whole activity conducted. Closing remarks at the same time is the medium to convey the next and follow thru activities from the event that was just conducted.
Note: When giving a remarks, don’t over do it, just be yourself. Do a research on your remarks prior to its schedule. Contain your speech within at least 5 to 6 minutes only. Long speech or remarks tends to make the audience gets bored and will stop listening.
Make your remarks concise and accurate. make it logical and logically proof. Prepare you speech not to impress anybody, but rather inspire your audience with the thoughts that comes with it.
