SONA Summary 2012 – Pnoy Covering Mindanao

After the recent SONA (State of the Nation Adress) of our Hon. President Benigno ‘PNOY’ Aquino III last July 23, 2012, some of the issues in Mindanao were discussed:

ARMM Acting Governor Mujiv Hataman was commended by the President on his accmplishments regarding actions taken by his administration on busting Ghosts in the ARMM Region, such as Ghost Government Employees, Teachers, workers, even students, etc.

On the Peace Process in Mindanao, PNoy’s SONA also highlighted the status and accomplishments of the on-going MILF-GPH Peace Process / Talk between the Bangsa Moro Liberation Front and Philippine Government. According to President PNoy, peace in Mindanao will soon to be attained.

  1. Arms. Well at Philippine’s capability right now, the only thing it can do is to defend at the least possible stance. It cannot take offence so instead of trying to produce more and more offensive weapons, let’s push through on fortifying our defenses. Like…road fortification, evacuation sites, underground food and supply thresholds… War is something Philippines cannot get into. If we cross swords with other country, we’re dead. Talk about unique defense strategies because our country is an archipelago- and the will to protect. Chances are bidding us to take measures in defending and protection. That’s all :3
